Biography

Olympic Gold medalist and world champion. Patrick Ortlieb is one of the most successful Downhill skiers. The Vorarlberg athlete was Olympic champion in this discipline in 1992 and four years later was world champion. He also bagged four World Cup victories; three in Downhill and one in Super-G. In 1992 he was voted Austria's Sportsman of the Year. Patrick Ortlieb and his wife Kathrin are the second generation in the family to run the Hotel Montana in Oberlech. Their daughter Nina is following in her father's footsteps. In 2020 the HEAD World Cup Rebel celebrated her first World Cup victory in the Super-G in La Thuile.
