Maria Riesch on the podium in St. Anton

In the first Super-Combined of the season at Austrias St.Anton Resort, Heads female star Maria Riesch, showed her consistent racing skills in both the Downhill and the Slalom. With powerful performances in her Downhill run, as well as in her Slalom run, Riesch was able to obtain a second place podium finish.

In her Downhill run, she showed strong concentration and focus in the severe slope conditions, but was ready for the challenge, and it was seen in her fight for 4th Place. With her amazing talent on board she skied her way down the slalom run effortlessly, and on to the podium again this season. This is the third time she has managed a podium position in this World Cup Season. Riesch is currently in 3rd Place in the Overall World Cup Standings.

Remarkable results from the Head Women in St. Anton
Other Athletes from Head were able to produce some good results in the Super-Combined at St. Anton. The young Austrian Anna Fenninger powerfully skied her way into 4th Place, with two great performances in the two disciplines. This performance is the 18 year old Austrians best showing in her very young World Cup Competition career. Austrian Christine Sponring finished respectably in 8th Place, and Rabea Grand of Switzerland finished the day in 10th Place.
