Head Athlete Elisabeth Görgl demonstrated the top quality skiing she is capable of at the Czech Resort Spindleruv Mlyn, where an exciting Womens World Cup Giant Slalom event was held. At the end of the day Görgl was able to achieve a 3rd Place finish.
Foundation set after first run
The foundation for a great finish was already set after the Austrians first run, which left her only three tenths of a second off the best time, and in striking distance. After her second solid run, Görgl took over the lead, and at the end of the day her total time of 2:17.57 resulted in a 3rd Place finish, and another podium finish in this seasons World Cup Giant Slalom events. The combination of the GS podium finish in Panorama, Canada, and this finish at Spindleruv Mlyn, Görgl has now graced the podium at two out of the four total World Cup Giant Slalom Races this season.

With this 3rd Place finish, the Head Athlete Elisabeth Görgl was able to receive points that she deposited in her Overall World Cup Giant Slalom Points account, resulting in a total balance of 219 points, which moves her up into 2nd Place.
