Riesch carves for the podium in Levi

November 15th, 2008

All odds after the first run
Convincing in the first run, Maria Riesch, the 23 year old German in the HEAD-TEAM, did not have any problems what so ever with the “Black Levi“ piste and scored fourth best time, leaving her every chance for the final. Meantime she took the lead with an overall time of 1:48,64 minutes. Being not fast enough, she missed the first victory in the season, but at least Riesch captured the podium in the second World Cup race 2008/2009.

Top ranked in the overall World Cup
After the Giant Slalom in Soelden, Austria and the first Slalom in Levi, Finland, Maria Riesch finds herself top ranked in the overall standing. Facing the races in North America, the HEAD-Lady is already placed fifth with 80 Points.
