Görgl comes up strong in Aspen

November 30th, 2008

Impressive performance under difficult conditions
Tons of fresh fallen snow, made it difficult to prepare the course, while fresh powder during the race caused poor visibility and changing conditions. Ignoring these difficulties and scoring second best time, HEAD Racer Elisabeth Görgl laid the foundation for her success in the first run. Especially in the first part of the course nobody else was carving as fast as the Austrian lady, taking quite a high risk.

A crispy ride in the final.
In the second run the extremely icy scarp demanded a great deal from the competitors. Using her outstanding abilities, Görgl marked the best interim time in the first part of the course. Although missing the top mark in the last gates and finishing third, she stays in contact with the leaders of the overall Worldcup. Next race is a Slalom in Aspen on November 30th.
