Riesch finishes her home match on the podium

At the Gudiberg at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany the ladies completed the seventh Slalom this season. Racing tactical in the first run, Maria Riesch finished sixth. In the final, the lady from Garmisch attacked with her HEAD carvers and after a fine performance she took the lead. One competitor after the other had a tough time to beat Riesch’s score. Only beaten by the later winner, Riesch finished second in 1:48.07 minutes, realizing the sixth Slalom podium this season.

140 points ahead in the Slalom World Cup
Gaining 80 points for second place, Maria Riesch makes another step heading for the small Crystal Globe of the Slalom World Cup. With two races to go, the HEAD pilot is leading by 140 points, while the German also still has the chance to win the overall World Cup. In the next Slalom Maria Riesch will fight for gold, silver or bronze at the World Championships in Val d’Isère, France.
