Didier Cuche back in the race for the Overall World Cup
On the challenging “Olympia“ slope Didier Cuche’s focus was not only on the triumph in the Downhill, with a good result, but to get back into the fight for the big Crystal Globe. Scoring 1:22.46 minutes on the shortened piste and taking the lead for awhile, the Swiss proved his ambitions in an impressive way. Finishing second, with only 2 hundredths of a second behind the winner and scoring 80 points he is now in reach for the title again.
Olsson frames the season
Beside Cuche another HEAD athlete was able to convince in the final downhill race of the World Cup. Only 16 hundredths of a second behind his teammate, Hans Olsson made it to the podium for the second time this season. After a third place at the season’s opening downhill at Lake Louise (CAN) he now framed the World Cup winter with another third place on his home match at Åre (SWE).
