Jon Olsson Invitational 2010

April 20th, 2010

Last week it was once again time for the Big Air competition Jon Olsson Invitational to be held in Åre. Despite the bad weather, there were more than 3000 spectators in the crowd in Åre! This year's jump was one of the biggest Big Air jumps ever.

After the entertaining head-to-head finals Jon Olsson – host for the event – finished fourth behind JOSS (Jon Olsson Super Sessions) competitors Andreas Håtveit, Russ Henshaw and Elias Ambühl.

But Jon was still happy: “The day for me is mainly about making sure that all the skiers are satisfied and that there will be a great contest, so that I would get this far was only a bonus! That I also succeeded with the best jump in my life (Tornado Safety to Japan grab) made the evening unforgettable for me, it feels wonderful!

Those who couldn´t follow the competition in place in Åre, had for the first time the opportunity to see JOI live, via internet. From this week a summary of JOI is available on .
