Outstanding results for HEAD - Flexpoint Radical MP Tour is test winner

October 5th, 2005

The latest test conducted by the trade magazine, Tennis Magazin, brought outstanding results for HEAD. From among a total of 19 tested racquets for pros and top players the HEAD Flexpoint Radical MP Tour received an overall mark of 1 and was named the “test winner”.

The neutral testers rated its control as quite positive: “The HEAD racquet proved that a frame with a larger head size can also be controlled perfectly.” At the same time the racquet has confirmed “to add more power and comfort”.

The Flexpoint Radical MP Tour was specially designed for young, aggressive players who are looking for a slightly heavier racquet. It weighs exactly 315 grams and has a head size of 645 cm2. Another new feature is its open string pattern with 19 cross and 16 main strings. The result: A game with extreme feeling and added spin. The advantages of this racquet are also enjoyed by a star on the ATP Tour: Juan Carlos Ferrero from Spain. “The Flexpoint Technology” allows me to control my power even better.”

The technical features of Flexpoint Technology are noticeable right away by looking at the racquet: two notches – called “dimples” – and two control holes at precisely defined positions – 3 and 9 o’clock – on the racquet head. The dimples reduce the height of the frame construction by up to 25%. Both control holes were designed to break up the carbon fibers, thus increasing the flexibility of the racquet. Thanks to the dimples and control holes, it was possible to increase the flexibility of the racquet by up to 50%.
