HEAD focuses on Scouting Program with Aggressive Pursuit of Pro and Junior Players

November 5th, 2007

HEAD announced plans today to focus on its scouting program and aggressively pursue young Pro and Junior players. The reinforcement includes an increased presence at worldwide and international Junior events and improved contact between scouts, players, distributors and Tour management.

With this focus, HEAD aims to start the conversation early in a Junior players career and expose them to playing with HEAD equipment. HEAD is investing incremental funds on scouts, contracts and equipment in order to accomplish this goal.

As a part of this strategy HEAD has added several key personnel to its staff to support Tour Manager Thomas Bischof. New HEAD staff members include:

Guillermo Vilas, a former ATP #2, will serve as a Global Consultant by monitoring the HEAD international player program and international player strategy.
Hubert Freudenstein, a former national coach in Germany, will act as a Consultant for Eastern Europe overseeing the Junior Future Team.
Thomas Högstedt will serve as Consultant for China and handle the Chinese Girls Olympic Program.
