Staudacher reaches sensation
Patrick Staudacher hasn´t won any World Cup race in his career yet but at the World Championships the usual order is sometimes put upsite down. This happened at the super G and the Italian who has started with bib twelve clocked the best time with a successful performance. Staudacher also profited by the better conditions he had during his run but he didn´t make any mistakes and so he became the first World Champion in Are deservedly. Afterwards there was naturally no limit to his exultation.

Cuche and Buechel miss the medals by a few hundredths
