HEAD athletes Didier Cuche and Elisabeth Görgl have again displayed top performances in the World Cup races on January 26 in Chamonix, France, and Ofterschwang, Germany. The current leader of the Downhill standings, Didier Cuche with his season long consistency has come up with another podium finish at the Downhill in Chamonix. Elisabeth Görgl is no stranger to the podium and that was evident today, when she finished only nine hundredths of a second behind the best time of the day.
Cuche builds on Downhill lead
The 60th Kandahar downhill on the 'Verte' run in France was the next proving ground of the season following the powerful performances by the HEAD men in Kitzbühel, Austria. Didier Cuche gave the crowd another performance that helped him obtain the second place finish and moved him up in the standings. Bode Miller finished in a close seventh place.
Görgl continues on her road to success
HEAD athlete Elisabeth Görgl is taking the right lines these days considering that her first season victory in the Giant Slalom was on the 12th of January, and her next world class performance was her 2nd place finish in Italy last weekend. Now with this 3rd place finish today, Görgl has positioned herself near the top of the World Cup. Good luck to the HEAD women who will again be performing in Germany in a Slalom, and to the HEAD men who will be racing in a Super Combined at Chamonix, France.
