Maria Riesch two more years on HEAD

Maria Riesch had 2007/2008 the most successful season of her career. After two serious injuries she excelled in her come back season. As HEAD athlete she won World Cup crystal twice: both in Super G as well as in the Super Combination. In the overall World Cup she finished the season on rank three. These successes are reason enough to continue the winning cooperation for another two years.

The contract between Maria Riesch and HEAD includes the Olympic season 2009/2010. The Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver are Maria’s long term goal. Maria plans to top the incredible season 2007/2008 with focus on consistency and continuity. „I have tested different material. My HEAD equipment suits me perfectly. For twelve years, since my early races during my school days, I have come to trust my HEAD equipment“, cites Maria as reasons for her contract renewal and her trust in the HEAD brand.

The HEAD system performs flawlessly for the 23 year old. HEAD is pursuing a clear goal with re-signing the contract. After assembling a strong Men’s Team around Overall World Cup Winner Bode Miller, the next step is to become a top contender with the Woman’s Team. The young German will continue to be one of the World’s best ski racers. „With Maria, Anja Paerson and Elisabeth Goergl and other top athletes we are building a winning Woman’s Team“, names HEAD-Racing Director Rainer Salzgeber as goal for next season.

Maria Riesch as member of the Racing Team represents the brand also to the public. HEAD-CEO Johan Eliasch says: „The German market is extremely important for us. “ The HEAD management is convinced of Maria’s athletic abilities and Maria Riesch will pay back this trust with further successes. The combination Riesch-HEAD will provide many positive headlines in the future.
