Winning the Slalom-Event in Zagreb, Croatia the HEAD-Racer Maria Riesch crowns herself as the Queen of Snow and takes over the lead in the Overall-Worldcup.
Third victory for Riesch
Already in the first run Maria Riesch showed an impressive performance. Due to the clean and nearly error free first run Maria Riesch couched on second place for the final. Racing clever in the final the lady from Partenkirchen, Germany grabbed with 1:58,69 minutes the victory at the Snow Queen Trophy. Scoring the third consecutive triumph in a Slalom race the HEAD-Pilot extended her lead in the discipline-ranking. The 100 additional points put the 24-year old lady on top of the Overall-Worldcup.
Zahrobska on the podium
Finishing third, Rieschs HEAD-Teammate Sarka Zahrobska entered the podium and completed a fine performance of the HEAD-Team at Zagreb. Scoring fourth place after the first run, the Slalom-World Champion from the Czech Republic speeded up and jumped on the podium, finishing third. The next chance for the HEAD-Ladies to wow in the technical disciplines is next weekend in Maribor, Slovenia where a Giant-Slalom and a Slalom take place.
