About Team Elite

HEAD Team Elite is a global sponsorship program aimed at promoting young, talented tennis players in more than 40 countries around the world.

Through training camps with respected coaches like Bob Brett, tournaments, and interaction with HEAD representatives, HEAD Team Elite fosters the upcoming generation of world-class tennis players. HEAD Team Elite members are between the ages 11 and 18 and are encouraged by HEAD to play their best in a competitive atmosphere.

How does HEAD do this? By making sure HEAD Team Elite players have the best equipment to enhance their game – HEAD Flexpoint and Liquidmetal racquets, bags, clothing, strings, grips, and tennis balls. But it’s more than just equipment. HEAD cares about each Team Elite member’s development, and local representatives support each HEAD player, creating a world-wide team spirit.

Just how successful is HEAD Team Elite? Many top stars playing on the Pro Tour today have gone through the program. Nineteen-year-old French stars Gael Monfils and Richard Gasquet are both graduates of the HEAD Team Elite program, and are considered among the most talented young players in the world. Sania Mirza of India, voted 2005’s Most Talented Newcomer, is also a former HEAD Team Elite member.

These players currently in the HEAD Team Elite program also had great success in 2005: Victoria Azarenka (Belarus) won the Junior U.S. Open, Jeremy Chardy (France) won the Junior Wimbledon crown and Donald Young (USA) won the Junior Australian Open. In 2006, the seventeen-year-old French Alexandre Sidorenko captured the Australian Open Junior Boys’ singles title. Chase Buchanan (USA), Sergei Bubka (Ukraine) and Tamira Paszek (Austria) are also standout junior players in the HEAD Team Elite program.


It’s no wonder that HEAD Pros Andre Agassi, Marat Safin, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Gustavo Kuerten, Anastasia Myskina and Svetlana Kuznetsova are all keeping their eye on the program, watching HEAD’s next generation.
