Maria Jose Vargas

Career

Named the Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour’s (LPRT) Rookie of the Year in 2013, Maria has stormed up the professional ranks into the Top 3. In December 2014, Vargas captured her first professional tournament title at the LPRT event in Arlington, Virginia. Maria started playing the game at the age of eight and her junior career includes a Gold Medal in the Girls’ 18 & Under division at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Los Angeles.

Born in Bolivia, now playing for Argentina, Maria has continued her international success as an adult. She won the Gold Medal at the 2014 Pan American Racquetball Championships in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
