HEAD player David Palmer of Australia captured his second World Open championship in Egypt. Palmer beat the Gregory Gauilter of France 9-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-10, 11-2 in front of the illuminated Giza Pyramids. Palmer had 5 match balls down and would have lost the match and the title, but he turned his loss into victory in a match that took 103 minutes, one of the longest and most exciting matches in the tournament.
Palmer now heads to England where he will play an exhibition in Manchester as preparation for the British Open, beginning in Nottingham on September 15. He plays with a HEAD Flexpoint 160, the racquet for ultimate feel and control.
