Teenager Ramy Ashour Wins Kuwait Open

    HEAD Player Ramy Ashour of Egypt claimed the largest squash prize ever offered for a professional squash tournament anywhere in the world at the Sheikha Al Saad Kuwait Open. Ashour, who plays with the HEAD Metallix 130, defeated World No.1 Amr Shabana 11-5, 11-2, 12-10 in a match that lasted only 34 minutes.

    “I’m really excited about what happened here today,” Ashour said, “but I’m sure it will be much tougher the next time I play against him,” Ashour continued who will turn 20 in 5 months.

    Meanwhile, fellow HEAD player and World No. 3 David Palmer of Australia battled his way to the semi-finals of the Sheikha Al Saad Kuwait Open with his HEAD Metallix 160, but lost to Shabana.
