On Tuesday July 8, Swedish marathon swimmer Anna-Carin Nordin completed the prestigious North Channel swim and wrote swim history. With this successful accomplishment she became the first woman ever completing the toughest swim performance in the world - Oceans Seven.
(7 tough channel swims from each of the seven continents)
Each swim requires tremendous physical and mental performance where North Channel stands out as the toughest. Anna-Carin succeeded on the first attempt and completed the swim in 14 hours and 21 minutes in a water temperature of 11 degrees.
Anna-Carin used the HEAD Ultimate goggle and the Photon swim suit. The swim was performed without wetsuit, as required for channel swim records.
