HEAD has been named the Official Racquet of the 2006 China Open (Sept. 11-24, in Beijing). With more than $1 million in prize money, the 2006 China Open is boasting a strong field of world-recognized players. The tournament is expected to draw more than 300,000 spectators over the 14-day event.
With 14 tournaments and just eight weeks left on the 2006 ATP circuit, the 2006 China Open starts a competitive stretch of tournaments where players vie for a spot at the ATP Masters Cup in Shanghai.
“The recognition that this tournament receives in Beijing is very important to HEAD,” said Johan Eliasch, CEO of HEAD NV. “As a worldwide manufacturer and distributor we take pride in our first class partnerships with organizations such as the 2006 China Open.”
As part of HEAD’s sponsorship, the company is hosting autograph sessions with participating HEAD players throughout the duration of the tournament.
