Haase, playing with a YouTek Prestige Mid, is the first from his nation to lift a trophy on the ATP since former French Open finalist Martin Verkerk won at home in Amersfoort in 2004.

HEAD also took the doubles title as Spain's Anabel Medina Garrigues and Polish partner Aleksandra Rosolska beat South African Nathalie Grandin and Czech Vladmira Uhlirova 6-2, 6-2. Johanna Larsson reached the final of Bastad in front of her homecrowd.
