HEAD Player Robin Soderling Wins in Rotterdam

ATP Word Tour No. 8 Swedish professional tennis player Robin Soderling defeated Russian Mikhail Youzhny at the ABN AMRO World tennis tournament in Rotterdam with game sets of 6-4 and 2-0, due to Youzhny’s early retirement because of a right-hip injury.

Soderling’s hard groundstrokes and solid serve led to his fifth ATP World Tour Title. Soderling, who is playing YouTek™ Radical MP, defeated Florent Serra, Igor Sijsling, Julien Benneteau and Mikhail Youzhny to be the final winner at Rotterdam this weekend. Robin Soderling is the first Swedish player in 17 years to triumph at the in Rotterdam, and hopefully will be equally successful in the near future.

Fellow HEAD player Novak Djokovic, playing YouTek™ Speed Pro, and Mikhail Youzhny both played for a spot in the final, but Youzhny was surprisingly the player to pull through in a close match of 7-6, 7-6. While eventually defeated by Soderling, Youzhny played extremely well in the tournament until his unfortunate injury in the final match. Mikhail Youzhny, who trusts in HEAD racquet YouTek™ Extreme Pro captured the Rotterdam title in 2007 against Ivan Ljubicic and was returning for his sixth time.
