HEAD player Kevin Anderson reached the final round of the Tennis Channel Open in Las Vegas this weekend.
Qualifier Anderson, who plays with a MicroGel Prestige MP, only played his third ATP tournament. He defeated No. 6 seed Michel Llodra in the first round and didn’t drop a set until Sunday’s final. Facing Sam Querrey, he finally lost in a tight 3 set game 4/6 6/3 6/4.
"It's always disappointing to lose," he said. "I'm obviously extremely competitive, and I would have loved to win today, but it's definitely important to look at the week as a whole and all the benefits that have come out of it. There's been many. That belief of being able to compete with the guys, it's helped by ranking a ton. Overall, I'm extremely happy about the whole week."
The South African had a great start into 2008 starting the season starting from position No. 208 and now reached a career high of No. 121. Now he is aiming for the Top 100!
