HEAD CrossBow 10 Racquet Earns Top Praise in Latest Edition of Deutsche Tenniszeitung

November 12th, 2008

HEAD’s CrossBow technology received significant praise in the latest issue of Deutsche Tenniszeitung, one of the leading tennis publications in Europe, with the CrossBow 10 racquet earning top honors as the magazine’s test winner.

Magazine editors tested racquets that would fit leisure players who required additional power and comfort. The magazine praised the CrossBow 10 racquet for its easy handling and superior power. The CrossBow technology was heralded by editors for its added comfort and power.

The magazine also applauded the CrossBow 6 for its ease of play, superior dampening and excellent handling. Among the 12 racquets tested, four featured integrated dynamic bridge constructions, a trend in racquet design in 2008.

Power loaded for players with shorter more compact swings, HEAD‘s CrossBow technology features a bridge suspended from the frame that moves independently, allowing the racquet to store energy in both the stringbed and the bridge. The two-piece design acts like a spring or bow that is loaded during ball impact and is released as the ball accelerates off the stringbed for maximum power.
