HEAD have added three new models to its popular Star Series racquet range, designed in collaboration with former greats Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf. Along with the popular YouTek™ Six Star, Five Star and Three Star models which were launched in spring 2010, HEAD has now introduced the YouTek™ Seven Star, Four Star and a white-coloured version of the YouTek™ Three Star.
Serious recreational players already know that the Star Series racquets can help improve their games – and now there is an even wider range to choose from. The Star Series earned the prestigious Red Dot award for Product Design in 2010, and with the new models HEAD continued the success story - a team effort between Marketing, R&D, Design, Production – and the Las Vegas based tennis couple.
The new YouTek™ Seven Star has already been declared a test winner by the German magazine “Tennismagazin” in the Comfort Racquet category. The publication praised the power generated by the racquet. Even on a weaker shot, the racquet is able to compensate and generate the winning torque required.
The new range is bristling with unique HEAD technology designed to lift the game level of recreational players. The entire range features the patented HEAD technologies which have made the racquets the envy of the industry:
HEAD's frame-inlay, d3o™, is a "smart material" currently used in all HEAD YouTek™ racquets. The molecules of the inlay stay soft during slow hits and lock together on hard hits. d3o™ senses the play and adapts to the player, giving maximum power and control on every shot. Passing shots become more forceful and drop shots are more precise, rewarding spontaneity and supporting courageous strategy decisions. QuadFace extends the string bed at the key points of the frame, providing longer strings and an enlarged sweet spot resulting in maximum power. As play becomes harder and faster, the Control Ring makes sure the player keeps a grip on his game. And the new Multizone Grip offers greater comfort and control thanks to its unique, smooth and sweat-absorbent non-slip surface.
