HEAD Signs Two Top World Badminton Players

HEAD announced today that the company has signed agreements with the top world badminton player Anthony Clark of England and English national champion Donna Kellogg. Both partnerships begin immediately and will continue through 2009.

Winner of the Danish Open in 2006 with Donna Kellogg, Clark is a three-time English national champion and has more than 50 England caps. Clark is also ranked as runner-up in the World Championships in 2006 in the men’s and mixed doubles competition together with Kellogg. He is also the only English person to simultaneously hold both silver medals for the mixed and doubles events.

Kellogg, who competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in women's doubles with partner Gail Emms, holds the top English national ranking in women’s doubles and made it to the finals of the 2006 IBF World Championships in mixed doubles with Anthony Clark. Kellogg is a two-time English national champion and has more than 70 England Caps.

Twenty-nine-year-old Clark and twenty-eight-year-old Kellogg will each make their debut as a HEAD athlete later this month at the Malaysian Open and the Korean Open. Clark currently plays for the French badminton club Issy Les Moulineaux and specializes in men’s and mixed doubles. Kellogg specializes in Ladies and mixed doubles and holds the 2006 European championship in ladies doubles.

In 2007, HEAD will offer a full line of badminton equipment, footwear and apparel, geared both to the professional player and the everyday athlete, with a focus on design, innovation and competitive pricing.
