Back-to-back titles for HEAD player Azarenka

HEAD racquet rebel Victoria Azarenka won her second consecutive title in 2011 as the winner of last week's Miami WTA Masters defeated Romanian qualifier Irina-Camelia Begu 6-3, 6-2 in just under 90 minutes to win the Andalucía Tennis Experience at Marbella, Spain.

‘Victorious Vika’, playing with a YouTek IG Extreme Pro, was never tested as she claimed her 11th consecutive win this season and seventh career trophy, breaking her opponent seven times in total. The 21-year old Belarusian improved to 7-6 in finals and moved into the Top 5 of the WTA World rankings for the first time.

Azarenka showed she managed make the quick change of surfaces changes after winning in Florida on hard-court, and following up on clay in southern Spain. "It was unusual to go from the Miami hard courts to here on clay and do so well. I'm more than pleased with the experience. It was important just to keep my mind fresh and do the same things I did in Miami. I used to practise here when I was 14, so coming here brings me back - I love it here," said the Arizona-based player.

Begu, ranked 138th, had staged an upset to reach the final, coming from behind to upset HEAD player Svetlana Kuznetsova (YouTek IG Extreme MP) 3-6, 7-6, 6-4.

On American green clay in Charleston, South Carolina, China's Peng Shuai (YouTek Extreme MP) reached the semi-finals, going out to Russian Elena Vesnina 7-6, 6-3, who in turn lost to Caroline Wozniacki in the final. Peng is now China's third Top 30 player on the WTA and was bidding for her first finals since Guangzhou in 2008. Peng had a tough 2010 season, dealing with several injuries, but she has turned her game this year, with a record of 23-8 so far.
