HEAD Players Triumph at ATP and WTA Tournaments

HEAD player Patty Schnyder of Switzerland defeated Vera Zvonareva 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 in the quarterfinals at the Generali Ladies tournament in Linz. Schnyder went on to face Maria Sharapova in the semifinals where she was defeated in two tight sets (7-5 7-5). Schnyder plays with the HEAD Flexpoint Radical MP.

At the Lyon Tennis Grand Prix in France, HEAD Player Richard Gasquet won his third title of the season Sunday, beating fellow HEAD player Marc Gicquel 6-3, 6-1 in the all-French final. Gasquet, seeded fourth, dropped only two sets during the tournament. Gasquet won this and his other championships in Nottingham, England, and Gstaad, Switzerland with his HEAD LM Instinct. Gicquel plays with the HEAD Flexpoint Prestige MP. HEAD player Arnaud Clement also played in the singles semifinals at Lyon with his HEAD Flexpoint Prestige MP and won the doubles tournament with partner Julien Benneteau.

HEAD player Julian Knowle reached the doubles final with partner Jurgen Melzer. Knowle plays with a HEAD Flexpoint Prestige Mid.

HEAD player Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland advanced to the semifinals of the Davidoff Swiss Indoors in Basel, but was defeated by Fernando Gonzalez 4-6, 4-6. Wawrinka plays with a HEAD Flexpoint Prestige MP.
