Djokovic Reaches Cincinnati Masters Final

August 25th, 2009

For the second year in a row, HEAD player Novak Djokovic secured a spot in the finals match of the ATP Western & Southern Group Financial Tournament in Cincinnati. Djokovic’s defeat of Rafael Nadal 6-1, 6-4 in the semifinals snapped his five-match losing streak against the third-ranked player.

In the finals match, Djokovic played solid tennis against World No. 1 Roger Federer, saving six of seven break points in the first set. However Federer’s strong service prevailed, defeating Djokovic in straight sets 6-1, 7-5.

"It's been a great week for me,” said Djokovic who plays with the YOUTEK Speed Pro. “I have been able to play a lot of matches before the US Open and now I have some time to focus on parts of my game to be ready for the start of the tournament."

HEAD pro Andy Murray, who plays with a YOUTEK Radical Pro, again showed his grace and skill on the court and defeated Julien Benneteau 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 to reach the semi finals.
