Djokovic Captures Paris Title in Thrilling Fashion

For the second consecutive week, HEAD pro Novak Djokovic showed his dominance on the court and came away victorious. At the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris, World No. 3 Djokovic, who plays with a YOUTEK Speed Pro, edged Gael Monfils in dramatic final that ended 6-2, 5-7, 7-6(3).

“It is a tremendous achievement for me to win back-to-back tournaments,” said Djokovic. “This was a challenging field to play against and I am thrilled to have been able to come away with the title.”

On his way to the finals, Djokovic showed tremendous performances defeating World No. 2 Rafael Nadal straight sets 6-2, 6-3 in the semifinals. He also bested fellow HEAD pro Robin Soderling 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.

In other tournament action, HEAD pro Marin Cilic, who plays with a YOUTEK Radical MP, put together a strong performance earning a trip to the quarterfinals where he fell to Monfils 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

In the doubles competition, HEAD pro Nenad Zimonjic and partner Daniel Nestor claimed their 9th title of 2009 against the Spaniards Marcel Granollers/Tommy Robredo.
