HEAD Racquet Rebels head into second week of French Open

Novak Djokovic staged a stirring fightback to reach the French Open quarter-finals as the HEAD racquet rebel recovered from two sets to love down for the third time in his career. The Serb will swing his YouTek IG Speed MP into the second week at Roland Garros as he works for a place in the record books by winning a fourth consecutive Grand Slam trophy.

Djokovic beat Italian Andreas Seppi 4-6, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 7-5, 6-3 - the last time the HEAD player rallied from two sets down was his victory over Roger Federer in the the semi-final at the US Open last September.

There was success all around Roland Garros for HEAD racquet rebels: Andy Murray overcame his back pain when beating Jarkko Niemienen in the second round and bouncing back to full fitness against Santiago Giraldo in the third round. Richard Gasquet felt the heat of last week in a win against Grigor Dimitrov with the Frenchman now facing Murray in a HEAD-to-HEAD showdown for the quarter-final.

In the women’s draw, second seed Maria Sharapova is the highest seed left and has lost just five games through the first week as she moves closer to a possible fourth Grand Slam title. "With every round I'm going to be playing tougher opponents, and that's when you really want to kind of step it up and raise your level. That's what I'll try to do in the next round," she said. Maria will have the chance to regain the world no. 1 position if she continues her great run in Paris.

Yaroslava Shvedova also made it to the fourth round without losing a single set. Her next opponent will be Na Li, who won the French Open title in 2011.
