The outstanding success of Flexpoint technology and the huge international demand have confirmed the intention of those in charge at HEAD to present this innovative technology in its “legendary” racquet. The Flexpoint Prestige is, thus, the latest chapter in the success story at HEAD. The name Prestige by HEAD has long become a popular one among tennis players. Several of the top players in the world have celebrated wins with this classic racquet: Goran Ivanisevic (Croatia) won Wimbledon, Gustavo Kuerten (Brazil) won the French Open three times and Marat Safin captured the title at the Australian Open. However, young stars such as Gael Monfils and Donald Young also reap the benefits of the Prestige.
The new Flexpoint Prestige is available in two sizes as well: mid and midplus (also comes in XL) with a 600 or 630 cm² head. The racquet also gives top players ultimate control and an optimal feel for the ball without losing power.
The technical features of Flexpoint technology can be seen at first glance at the racquet: two notches – the dimples - and two control holes at precisely defined positions – 3 and 9 o’clock – on the racquet head. The dimples reduce the beam height by up to 25%. Both of the control holes were designed to break up the carbon fibers and, thus, increase the flexibility of the racquet.
Thanks to this Flexpoint technology, HEAD has been able to meet the primary request of tennis players: to obtain ultimate control without losing power. How is that technically possible? Upon ball impact, a racquet with Flexpoint technology reacts in a way similar to a human hand. It “cups” the ball, thus noticeably increasing the dwell time.
HEAD Flexpoint. Power. In control.
