How To Connect Your Head Tennis Sensor In The App
Note that connecting the Head Tennis Sensor is done entirely within the Head Tennis Sensor app, and the sensor is not meant to pair through your Bluetooth menu in your phone/tablet's settings. The new sensor interface is controlled from within the Head Tennis Sensor app, so if you try to pair the new sensor in your device's Bluetooth settings, it will either not appear or it will never connect, as the app interface now handles the sensor connection on its own.

- 1. Tap on the grey sensor icon in the top right of the home screen;

Cannot Connect Head Tennis Sensor
Firstly, please follow the step by step guide in the support article ‘How To Connect Your Head Tennis Sensor In The App’, and see if your problem will be solved. If you still have trouble, please refer to the following two scenarios and related causes and solutions below.
Scenario 1:
If you cannot discover the sensor in the Sensor List, please refer to the following causes and solutions.
1.1 Sensor Is Not Turned On Or Has Not Enough Battery Level
Your Head Tennis Sensor is charged before coming out from the factory. However, it was turned off completely to prevent battery drain. Before using it for the first time, you will have to charge it in order to boot up.
To solve this, please charge your Head Tennis Sensor for at least 10 minutes, then try to follow the ‘How To Connect Your Head Tennis Sensor In The App’ steps again
1.2 Your iOS/Android Device May Not Support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Devices
Your Head Tennis Sensor uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to transfer data to your phone/tablet. To connect it, your phone/tablet will have to support BLE.
For iPhones, BLE was supported since iPhone 4s.
For Android devices, please use free tools such as ‘BLE Checker’ from Google Play Store to check if your device supports BLE.
1.3 Your Head Tennis Sensor May Currently Connect To Another iOS/Android Device
Your Head Tennis Sensor can only be connected with one iOS/Android device at a time. If another device is currently connecting with the sensor, you will not be able to discover it.
To resolve this, please make sure there is no nearby iOS/Android device that is currently running the Head Tennis Sensor app, and connects the sensor.
1.4 Your Android Device Cannot Determine Location
Starting from Android 6.0, location needs to be enabled for Bluetooth Low Energy scanning. Therefore, you will need to not only give the Head Tennis Sensor app permission to access your location, but also make sure your Android device can access current location while using the app.
To make sure your Android device can better access location, we suggest you to go to System Settings > Location > Mode, and set location mode to ‘High accuracy’.
Scenario 2:
If your sensor appears in the Sensor List, but the app keep failing to connect it. Please refer to the following causes and solutions.
2.1 Your Android OS May Have Issue Connecting Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Devices
Your Head Tennis Sensor uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to transfer data to your phone/tablet. To connect it, your phone/tablet will have to support BLE.
Some Android models may have trouble connecting BLE devices. In this case, you will be able to see your sensor in the Sensor List of the Head Tennis Sensor app, but cannot connect it. This normally can be resolved by update your Android OS to the latest version (Do System Setting > About Phone > System Update. You may need to repeat this for multiple times until you see the message ‘Your system is up to date’).
For more information about BLE support or how to update your Android OS, please check your Android Device’s manufacture official website.
If you continue to experience this issue after trying the above steps please let us know.

Sensor Does Not Capture Serve In Practice Serve Mode
If your sensor is connected (the little racquet icon in the top right corner is green), but having issues capturing serves in Practice Serve Mode, there are a few things to be aware of, and a few steps you can try.
To start, the sensor is designed to only capture the following type of serves: Flat, Slice/reverse slice, Kick/topspin/American twist/Reverse kick. Therefore, if you are doing an Underhand serve or Pat-a-cake serve, the sensor will not be able to capture it. Another best practice we recommend to avoid any issues capturing serve is to keep your racquet still prior to starting your serve. And it is better to wait for about 3 seconds before starting your next serve.
You try the following steps for any serve capture issues in practice serve mode:
1. Disconnect the sensor and reconnect again. To do this, tap on the small racquet icon on the top right corner of the screen, then click on your sensor’s name to launch the Sensor List popup. Tap on your sensor, and then select ‘Forget Sensor’, and confirm. After that, tap on your sensor in the Sensor List popup to reconnect it again.
2. Fully charge the sensor. Depending on your power source, a full charge of your sensor will take approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. When the LED on the charger turns solid green, that means that the sensor is fully charged.
3. Restart your iOS/Android device by holding the lock key for 4 seconds, and either swiping "slide to power off" or tapping "power down device"
4. Turn off Bluetooth on all other iOS or Android devices. Once other devices bluetooth is off, forget the device on your device and then re-pair.
5. Delete and reinstall the app.
If you continue to experience issues after completing the steps above, contact our support team for further investigation into the issue.
Sensor Does Not Capture Stroke In Play/Train/Compete Mode

You can test if the sensor start working normally by doing a stroke in Play Mode without start a session.
If you continue to experience issues after completing the steps above, contact our support team for further investigation into the issue.
"Increase In Specs" vs "Perfect Specs"
The Head Tennis Sensor can be installed on various Head tennis racquets. (For detailed supporting list, please visit: www.head.com/sensor#raquets)
For models in the 'SENSOR READY WITH INCREASE IN SPECS' list, installing the sensor will cause about 0.14 oz (4 grams) weight increase to the racquet. Also the balance will change by approx. 1 point more headlight (-4mm). This will be less of a balance change compared to replacing the stock grip with a leather grip.
For models in the 'SENSOR READY WITH PERFECT SPECS' list, installing the sensor won’t affect neither weight nor balance of the racquet at all.
