    Alexis Pinturault second at the Night Race in Schladming

    HEAD World Cup Rebel Alexis Pinturault snatches second place at the legendary Night Race in Schladming. For the French athlete it was the second best Slalom result this season following his victory in Val d'Isere.

     

    The 28-year-old missed the victory in Schladming by just 34 hundredths of a second. Pinturault was in third place after the first run - 32 hundredths of a second behind

    Double victory in the Downhill for Matthias Mayer and Beat Feuz, double victory in the Super-G for Kjetil Jansrud and Mayer. Kitzbühel was dominated by the HEAD World Cup Rebels. Both winners - Mayer and Jansrud - used a new model of ski. That was topped by Elena Curtoni in the Downhill in Bansko on Saturday with her first World Cup victory. Lara Gut-Behrami celebrates her first podium finish this season in the Super-G.

    Matthias Mayer celebrated a sensational victory at the Combined event in Wengen on Friday. Second place went to his HEAD team-mate Alexis Pinturault. That was followed by Beat Feuz's awesome third victory on the Lauberhorn run on Saturday.

    With the fastest time on the second run, HEAD World Cup Rebel Anna Swenn-Larsson from Sweden bagged second place in the Night Slalom in Flachau. Fourth place went to Wendy Holdener from Switzerland.

    First World Cup victory for Corinne Suter

    Corinne Suter is going from strength to strength this season. Following two podium finishes in Downhill and Super-G in Lake Louise, the 25-year-old Swiss athlete achieved her first World Cup victory on Saturday in the Downhill in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. Wendy Holdener crowned the powerful performance of the women HEAD Rebels in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee on Sunday with second place in the Combined event.
