Biography

"Work with all your strength to reach your goal" Franziska Gritsch celebrated her World Cup debut in December 2017 in the Slalom in Lienz. A year later the Tyrolean athlete scored her first World Cup points, and since then she has made a name for herself in the World Cup with top results. In the 2019/20 season, Franziska Gritsch celebrated two podium finishes - in in the Combined event and in the Parallel Slalom. Her motto is: "Work with all your strength to reach your goal, love with all your heart what you do, and believe that everything is possible." She first stood on skis when she was three years old. And little by little she realised that for her, "a life without skiing is as unthinkable as a life without breathing." She is a graduate from the School for Tourism and Skiing in Bad Hofgastein, and likes to read, spend time with her family and friends and enjoys hiking.
