The Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) continued its fall swing to at the start of the 2016-2017 season with HEAD Penn’s Paola Longoria, the World’s No. 1 ranked played, continuing her winning ways. In what is becoming a commonplace result on the LPRT, Paola swept both the singles and doubles divisions at the 2016 Sweet Caroline Open at the Sportsclub Greenville in the Palmetto State. Longoria needed a few extra games than usual as she dropped a game in both the semifinal and final of the singles draw. Tired legs could be to blame as the Sweet Caroline Open was played just a week after Longoria’s season opening evening in Mexico, an event in which she also swept the singles and doubles titles.

The win in South Carolina was Paola’s 73rd tournament win of her professional career. She now holds a winning streak on the LPRT dating back to March of 2015.

On the Men’s International Racquetball Tour (IRT) season opener in Overland Park, Kansas, HEAD Penn’s Rocky Carson finished second in the Ghost of Georgetown event.
