Biography

Matthieu Faivre is a French racing skier born in Nizza in 1992.

His father, a skiing instructor taught him how to ski at already young age.

Faivre specializes in Giant Slalom and made his World Cup debut at age18.

He competed for France at the 2014 Winter Olympics in the alpine skiing events and in two World Championships. Faivre gained his first World Cup podium in February 2016 in a Giant Slalom at Naeba, Japan. His second podium came during the 2016 World Cup finals in St. Moritz, Switzerland in another Giant Slalom. He was part of an all-French podium, having led after the first run for the first time in his career.
