Agustín Gutiérrez, better known as “the sheep” by fans, moved to Spain in 2017 after becoming Argentina’s No. 1. He knew that if he wanted to compete on the world stage, he would need to join the World Padel Tour rankings.

Agustín comes from a family of padel players. His parents ran a sports club with three padel courts and his uncle is none other than the magician of San Luis, Sanyo Gutiérrez.

One of his career highlights came at the end of 2022 when he reached the semi-finals of the Torrent Challenger, a tournament played in the region of Valencia. He actually trains not far from there, at Alicante’s JCF - Sanyo Equelite Padel Academy, where he is coached by Claudio Gilardoni, one of the most renowned padel coaches today.

As of early 2023, he has played 215 matches on the World Padel Tour, winning 127 of them.

He now plays with the Extreme Pro, with a new, diamond-shaped mold and new Soft Butt Cap technology.

On court the Argentine is known for his aggressive play and speed. He is certainly one of the hardest working and most consistent players out there today, and this shows on court with his electrifying padel.
