Paula Josemaría began her tennis career at a very young age, with her powerful, flawless forehand helping her become the junior champion of her home region Extremadura. At 17 she took up padel and was also quickly crowned the padel champion of her autonomous community.

After showcasing her skills at the 20x10, in 2017 she made her début at the qualifiers of the World Padel Tour, and made it to the women’s main draw for the first time at the San Fernando Open. One year later, in 2018, she played every single final draw on the World Padel Tour alongside Valeria Pavón, a former pro.

Her first win on the tour came in 2019 when she claimed the Madrid Master title. That same year, Paula was crowned the Spanish Champion, the European Champion and named the World Padel Tour’s Newcomer of the Year.

In 2021 she partnered up with Ari Sánchez, who is sponsored by HEAD. Playing their strong and efficient game at full steam led them to become masters of that year after winning the Master Final on top of claiming five World Padel Tour tournament titles: Madrid Open, Marbella Master, Las Rozas Open, Cascáis Master, and Malmö Open.

In 2021 she was also called up to play for Spain at the World Padel Championship, where she was crowned World Champion, winning the final alongside Ari Sánchez.

In 2022 she won six WPT titles, with four Opens and two Masters. In 2023 she won a total of 13 tournaments and in 2024 she will give us many more victories for sure.

Paula recommends the Delta Motion, and is a master at opening up the court with her shots. Her forehand is classy, she can smash the ball out of the court, and can wow us all with some amazing shots. That’s Paula, “pure dynamite”.
