Biography

Sabrina Cakmakli, born on November 25, 1994, grew up in a very active family. So it was logical that she started skiing at the age of two. At the age of seven, Sabrina switched to snowboarding and thought that her skiing career was probably over. Until she got her first set of Freeski equipment at the age of 15 and soon became hooked. She fell in love with the sport and began competing in slopestyle. The German athlete claimed her first big podium at the Austrian Freeski Open in 2011. "That's when I knew I wanted to give it my all and become a professional freeskier," says Sabrina. It was only later that she discovered her passion for skiing Half-pipe. She competed in her first Half-pipe World Cup in 2013 and qualified for her first Winter Olympics in 2014. She has since competed in three Olympic Games (2014, 2018, 2022), X Games, Dew Tours, World Cups and World Championships. In Park City Sabrina finished in second place to reach the World Cup podium in 2015. She continues to work hard on promoting and advancing women's Half-pipe skiing and reaching her full potential in competitions and away from official events. "I'm also very motivated to achieve more in the content creation world. I'd like to get more involved with mountain ski touring and filming and do more video projects," she says.
