HEAD SPONSORS THE FUTURE STARS OF PADEL: ANDREA USTERO AND JUAN ZAMORA “COQUITO”

The Austrian-based leading racquet sports company is proud to announce that Andrea Ustero will be staying on and Juan Zamora “Coquito” will be coming on board, both young up-and-coming stars backed by an extensive track record. Andrea joined the HEAD Padel family two years ago, and now is the time to warmly welcome Coquito.

Let’s take a closer look to get to know these future stars of padel:

Andrea Ustero

Andrea shocked everyone at the World Padel Tour Marbella tournament, making it to the draw for the first time and playing one of the tournament’s most memorable points, which is not to be forgotten any time soon. At just 16 years old she boasts an extensive list of wins, including being crowned: World Champion, 2022 European Champion while playing for Spain, and Spanish Champion three times, all during her junior career. Plus, she also won a host of National TYC Premium tournaments and the World Open in 2019.

Born in the Catalan town of Castellbisbal, she first started out playing tennis and switched to padel at the age of eight. She currently plays with the Gravity Motion, a round, light, comfortable and easy-to-handle racquet, featuring a different design on both sides and Auxetic technology for a smoother feel.

Women’s padel sensation Andrea Ustero had this to say about staying on: “Several brands approached me, but I decided to stay at HEAD because they instilled the most confidence in me, and took the biggest interest in my career from day one”. As a matter of fact the HEAD brand sponsors her favourite player, none other than Paula Josemaría, another explosive left-hander. And, of course, Paula is her inspiration for becoming world No. 1 one day too.

Juan Zamora "Coquito"

This 15 year-old player, born in Osuna, has more to brag about than just living in the town with what UNESCO named Europe’s most beautiful street. Way more. In fact, he’s almost accomplished it all. He was crowned the Under-10 and Under-12 World Champion, the Under-14 European Champion while playing for Spain, the Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 Spanish Champion, the Under-16 Spanish runner-up, Andalucía Doubles Champion twice, and has won two national masters, and the list goes on.

The first time he picked up a racquet he was still practically a baby, and started competing at just five years old. “I basically started playing padel so young because my brothers were already playing and competing, and because my dad was a padel coach and instructor”, says Coquito, a junior set to be a padel star. He currently plays with the Delta Pro, a diamond-shaped racquet featuring Auxetic technology for an enhanced feel on every shot and easy, explosive power for your game.

In the words of this padel player when describing where he is right now: “I joined HEAD for several reasons: it’s a major brand, the players they sponsor are my current idols, but the most important reason behind my decision were the values this brand represents, which perfectly match the way my parents educated me”.

Here at HEAD Padel we are delighted to keep Andrea onboard and welcome “Coquito”. We wish the both of them every success for their personal and professional paths.
