After being born into a huge ski family Cole was taught to ski at the age of 2 years old by his parents and ever since it has been his main passion and focus. He was put into ski racing at the age of 9 and after 4 years of training gates he decided it was time to move over to the world of freeride and start competing in the junior freeride competitions across canada. After his first season on the circuit he won the Noram competition and took home the Overall North-American Champion award for his age category. Cole has been constantly getting after it in the freeski world ever since, continuing to compete in freeride competitions and delivering non-stop content through video parts and his Instagram page. Cole won the 2019 Quiksilver young guns competition in Revelstoke which has played a huge role in helping him gain exposure to create a name for himself.
Today, Cole's primary focus is on the film and media aspects of the skiing industry, with the hope of extending his skiing career for as long as possible. He has featured in some of the industry's most renowned production companies, such as MSP, the first HEAD feature film "UNIFIED," and Blank Collective, among others.
Over the past two years, Cole has been involved in the development of two new signature skis in the Oblivion line. This partnership has given rise to the Oblivion 102 and 116 skis.
“This project is the beginning of something really special. I wanted to create a ski that can cover all bases, a ski that can charge as hard as I need it to, yet still be playful and fun when I want it to be. After testing it in the backcountry, around resort, and in the park, I think it’s safe to say, we did just that.”
Cole wants to thank his family and friends for playing such a huge role in ingraining skiing into his life and wants to thank HEAD for supporting him to continue getting after it.
