Born and raised in Whistler, British Columbia, Ian spends his winters chasing powder and summers riding bikes. His parents strapped him into skis just before he turned two years old and as a teenager he entered racing competitions across North America. Growing up surrounded by the incredible terrain in the region, he had plenty of opportunities to advance his freeriding skills in the backcountry. Not only is Ian a Whistler native but he is also the son of professional ski photographer Paul Morrison. For over a decade, the duo have been documenting skiing as an art form, capturing incredible images which have graced the covers of ski magazines and snowsports websites. At 15 he got into biking and is equally passionate about two wheels as two skis. He could never imagine choosing between the two, but he admits that skiing powder is an unbeatable feeling.
