Biography
By the 2021/22 season at the latest, everyone in the Ski World Cup knows the name James Crawford. The Canadian athlete, whose nickname is "Jack", raced to his first World Cup podium in March 2022 at the Super-G in Kvitfjell, finishing second. At the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, he crowned his most successful season to date with a Bronze medal in the Combined event, as well as another five top-ten finishes in the Downhill and Super-G. James Crawford had already caught everyone's eye at the 2016 Junior World Championships in Sochi, when he won Silver in the Super-G. James "Jack" Crawford comes from a family of ski racers. His aunt, Judy Crawford Rawley, was even on the Canadian Ski Team from 1967 to 1974. His hobbies are surfing, water skiing, golf, road cycling and mountain biking. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Whistler and Ontario. Although he comes from a skiing family, he played hockey at the highest level until he was 15.
