"Skiing must be your first love, then competing" And Jared Goldberg discovered this love for skiing very early, because he first stood on skis at the age of two and started competing when he was six. The American athlete, born in Boston, celebrated his breakthrough in 2014 when he took part in the Olympic Games for the first time and finished eleventh in the Super Combined event. In the same year he finished twelfth in the Downhill classic in Wengen. With two ninth places in the Downhill in Val Gardena in 2017 and the Downhill in Kvitfjell in 2019, he has notched up two top-ten finishes so far. Jared Goldberg studied mechanical engineering at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah and enjoys singing and can play many instruments - including the ukulele and harmonica. He is also a keen cyclist and surfer.
