Says Jessica Hilzinger about skiing. Skiing is practically in her blood. Her father is a ski coach and trains ski instructors, which is why Jessica stood on skis for the first time when she was one-and-a-half years old. Dad is from Germany, Mum from Liechtenstein, Jessica was born in Switzerland in 1997. Initially she competed for the Liechtenstein Ski Association, and in 2015 switched to the German Ski Association. In the same year, Jessica Hilzinger competed in the World Cup for the first time. And in her very first race, the Slalom in Aspen on 28 November 2015, she scored her first World Cup points in 25th place. In 2017, she finished 13th in the Parallel Slalom in Courchevel, and at the 2017 World Championships she finished 22nd in the Slalom in St. Moritz. She is a customs officer, a member of the Oberstdorf Ski Club, and her favourite hobby is windsurfing.
