Biography
Sara Hector proved in the 2021/22 season that her name is written on victory in a Giant Slalom. The Swedish athlete celebrated three victories in this discipline this season and crowned her best season to date with the Gold medal in the Giant Slalom at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. Sara Hector stood on top of a World Cup podium for the first time in 2014 in the Giant Slalom in Kühtai. She really enjoys training, because "there's nothing like the feeling before, during and after a good workout". The Swedish athlete loves it when the adrenalin rushes through her veins and she can push her limits. Sara Hector proved very early on that this training also pays off in competition. She comes from Stockholm, and in 2011 won Gold in Giant Slalom at the Junior World Championships. In the same year at the World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, her team bagged Bronze in the team event - a success that the Swedish team repeated in Vail in 2015.
