Biography

Successful on skis, as a singer, and as a speaker "At the age of ten, I decided I wanted to become a ski athlete," says Elisabeth Görgl. The Austrian athlete fulfilled her dream and won two World Championship Gold medals in the Downhill and Super-G during her successful career. She also won Bronze in a World Championship, two Olympic Bronze medals and notched up seven World Cup victories. With a total of 42 podium finishes, she won medals in all the disciplines. In 2011, the double World Champion was voted Austria's Sportswoman of the Year. She was born with a talent for skiing thanks to her mother Traudl Hecher. Her brother Stephan was also among the top athletes in the World Cup. Her second great passion is for singing. In 2011 Lizz sang the official World Championship song at the opening ceremony of the World Skiing Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where she became World Champion for the first time one day later. When Lizz ended her active professional sports career in 2017, she presented the first song she composed entitled "It's up to you" at her final press conference. A year later followed "Bleib kurz stehn" and the two songs "Anders" and "Zu mir" in 2019. Last year saw the release of the song "Probier es aus" to an upbeat, motivational tune and more recently Lizz's latest release entitled "Was denkst du". In addition to being a singer, Lizz is a nationally approved coach and master trainer for fitness, personal training, injury prevention and exercise therapy. As a speaker, she enjoys sharing her experiences as an elite athlete, hosting workshops, ski days, and corporate incentive events and actively shares her content on her social channels and recently on our Head Rebels app.
