    HEAD Penn’s Maria Jose Vargas wins Racquetball Grand Slam in Bolivia

    Cochabamba, Bolivia – March 31, 2019

    In the first Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) event held outside of North America since 2015, HEAD Penn’s Maria Jose Vargas prevailed from a loaded field to win the ‘Open Bolivia American Iris’ Grand Slam tournament.

    Eight of the top eleven female racquetball players in the world traveled to Bolivia for the tournament which also featured the top professional male players. Maria Jose Vargas – who hails from neighboring Argentina

    Top players from HEAD Penn’s National Racquetball Playing Staff dominated the desert last weekend at the 2019 U.S.A. Racquetball National Doubles Championships. The event also offered singles play towards the qualification process to make the U.S. National Racquetball team. Players making Team U.S.A. will compete later this year at the Pan American Championship in Colombia and at the Pan American Games in Peru.
