Biography

"Nothing comes from nothing!" Cornelia Hütter's life motto says it all. The Austrian athlete never gives up. A number of injuries have held her back, including several torn cruciate ligaments. Again and again she has bounced back at full strength, equally determined. In the first race following her comeback in 2017 - also after a torn cruciate ligament - she won the Downhill in Lake Louise. That was one of three World Cup victories so far. In 2016 she stood on top of the podium in the Super-G in Lenzerheide. In her first full comeback season in 2021/22, Cornelia Hütter was in top form again following two knee ligament injuries. She was rewarded with her third World Cup victory in the Super-G at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in January 2022. The police sports team athlete stood on skis for the first time at the age of two, on a skiing holiday in Val Gardena. She is from Styria and is into trial bikes, horse riding and tennis, although being a couch potato is also one of her favourite pastimes.
